Having Fun Writing

I am having fun with the two on-line writer's conferences. The GUTGAA and SYTYCW. I have met so many great people and they have gave me so much inspiration and advice. Here is another great writing event: October Blog Challenge it starts Monday September 24. You can read about it at: http://janeannmclachlan.com/3/post/2012/09/why-join-the-october-blog-challenge.html#comments I think this would be great for building characters. I am going to try and use my character from one of my books. Anyone have a great writing books. I want to start a list of writing books list on my blog that writers use constantly.

I Won!

I can't believe I won a great prize in a great writer's conference. I never win anything. I get a 30 page critique by a great person in the field, Stephanie Pace. I can't wait to meet her. Plus I get to shop for more book. I known I probably don't need anymore books since I have 350 books and my electronic collection (new) I have 23. BUT.. I will take and love some more books. So, Thanks Ink In The Book. Thanks to All!!

Excited about pitches

I just pitched in two contests today! The great GUTGAA and Muse Online. I'm nervous about doing this, because I usually don't put my work out there. Yes, I know I need too. Put I'm dipping my toes into the water of sending my work out and looking for a CP. A good day today. Now, I need to work on my book. Have a great writing day!

Gearing Up for GUTGAA

I am so excited for this to start, but feeling a little like a fish out of water, since I am not use to the blogging part. But, I shoot off a quick email for some help. I need to work on my pitch, now. I hope to meet some new writers that I can connect with. See ya soon.

Adding a Great Button

Deana Barnhart

Back to work-Sad

My vacation is done. I have to return to work. So sad. I had fun with all the people at my writing conferences and writing sites.

I had a blog years ago with my first small press book and since I wasn't active they deleted it. So, I had to start a new one.

I am now exploring if I should go with a self-published book on Kindle. I am reaching out to others that have published on Kindle. Did you like the experience? Any advice? Let me know your book title. I will add it to my reading list on the blog.

What is the future of publishing? Can we do this on our own? These are there the questions that I am asking myself and others.

Can't wait to hear from you.

Thanks
Barbara

Another Great resource from Write On Conference

I just did my first critique on Critique.org. I have been looking, but not participating with writing. I have took another big step forward with my writing!!! Happy writing!

Adding a New Blog for my Writing

Just finished a great online writing conference, the Write On, is right on! I lurked a little and put myself out there under the gun for critiques. It was alright. The information is so great and in volumes. If you are a writer, either a beginner or published, you will learn something. It will be my motivation for the whole year.
